Areté Security Group, LLC is a North Carolina Private Protective Services Board (PPSB) licensed and insured security services company providing professional, certified, armed and unarmed security officers.
The principal of Areté, LLC has over 20 years of experience in the security industry and over 10 years of firearms and training experience.
SERVICES
Rifle/Shotgun Certification andTraining
​In 2016, the PPSB introduced the new Long Gun Course, which includes instruction and training for both shotgun and rifles. In doing so, the PPSB set a high standard on a national level to allow security professionals to use rifles in the performance of their duties. The Long Gun-Riflecourse is a basic two-day, 16-hour course that teaches students the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship
Basic Handgun Training
Teaching the basics of safe handgun handling, weapons nomenclature, maintenance and basic shooting techniques .

Armed Security Officer Certification
The security officer must have completed the 16 hr PPS "Basic Security Officer Training". The 20hr (3 Day), PPS Firearms Training includes instruction on legal issues, safety, handgun operation & maintenance, marksmanship fundamentals, night firing and shotgun. The security officer will receive a certificate of completion after passing the written exam and firearms qualification.
Concealed Carry Course
Upon successful completion of class, student will receive certificate of completion.
Student will need to bring the following items:

40 rounds of ammunition (minimum)

Unloaded handgun (All handguns will be inspected before class begins)

No Handgun, no problem. We rent handguns for $10. Ammunition is not included.

Proof of ID (Drivers License, State ID, Passport or Military ID)

Magazines or Speed-loaders

Holster or gun case

Range Attire including hat or cap, safety glasses and ear protection.
